My gracious! You'd think this house was falling apart!
However, it's not.
More like it's emptying bit by bit. I have to say I'm glad. There's lots of desperate talking going on, about deciding houses (I'm a bit more observant than Percy is (bless his heart!)) and commotion as school finishes (only for our human though). She is quite the procrastinator, she could have finished early this week, but no. Now I see her "working" on it. She does accomplish quite a lot. Most of the time. She will be bouncing off the walls when she is done - I am sure of it.
But enough of those boring items. I just know you've been wanting to hear about my swimming adventures, and our mundane life.
Well, I must say, my tank is pretty nice. However, it lacks tall water plants that all guppies need, and that is a minus. I know we would be much happier with them. Also, (if you've been keeping track), our "friend" Sherman, has not posted in ages. That also makes us happy. If you want to see his blog it's LongLivesHerman.blogspot.com
However, I think it might still be private since he's very sensitive to public opinions. He's an interesting chap though. Also, I have been listening to lots of instrumental music lately. I was soooo happy when I finally found the BBC North and South soundtrack, it is so heart throbbing. I have been listening to it constantly. Also, I have been listening to the BBC Robin Hood soundtrack, and that is wonderful as well. I found a new favorite movie, which would be that new movie that came out. I can't quite remember the name, but it was about people who weren't actually people, just pretending to be people.
You know?
Probably not.
What I meant was that the people in the movie were real people, not animated, but they were pretending to be smaller than they actually were because they were in a movie.
Now do you get it?
Anyhow, Percy and I especially like that movie because it has one of our favorite actors, Ian Mckellen in it.
If you don't already know, he played our nemesis Chauvelin in our favorite version of our life story.
So that's a bit about what's been going on in the tank!
Hopefully it won't be months before Percy and I do updates.

Long Time No See (Percy)
Sink Me!
It's been quite some time!
Lots has been going on outside the fishtank, with all this packing. I think that there must be something going on, but no one has been nice enough to enlighten me. However, some tragic things have happened. Through one way or another (probably due to all this rushing around) the switch which runs our filter and heater got switched off. We survived for some time in the cold stagnate water, until we were noticed. Then the filter was turned on, and the water got warmer. Unfortunately, it was too late for one of us. Yes, my dear brother-in-law has passed out of the land of living fish. It was a bit of a shock for our human, and she wants to replace him. However, she might have to wait till after all this commotion dies off....I don't know how it will all end. She is starting to talk about how she will never ever have guppies again. Ah well.
Last night she was quite excited. Something about a Broadway actor and a video and signing, and an awesome dad. I don't know what an awesome dad is. I don't even know my dad. Or my mom for that matter. So great for her, doesn't effect us.
And something else as well. The other day, everything dropped silent. There was no screaming, no fighting, and no wrestling right in front of our tank?
Why you ask?
I know the answer to that. All the annoying little humans went on a trip. Now, that does have negative connotations.
Why you ask?
Because that means our human did not have to quiet down after nine o'clock. In fact, she was jumping around and thumping on the floor and talking very loudly all the way till midnight. I was relieved when the hooligans returned.
So that is a little update on the life of the two fish, with more on the way.

To clear the Air
Hey Everybody!
Pictures are comin' soon of all my new little guppy friends, but they're takin' an awful long time.
I just wanted to clear up a few things that have been going on.
1. The "Ghosts" that were posting comments were not run by me. They were run by a very supportive fan, who I'd like to thank for sticking up for my dead friends.
2. I'd like to thank another supporter for making a support blog for me. It can be very hard to keep a blog going, especially when my earthly bodies keep dying. So, check out my support blog at LongLivesHerman.blogspot.com. There is an inconvinece with the picture, it says it will take you to this blog, but it actually doesn't. Remember, I don't run that blog.
3. This isn't really my blog, since I share it with guppies, so I might eventually (depending on the populace) create my own.
Now, to newsie stuff.
The girl who runs our tanks has been living a killer schedule.
She stayed up till the wee hours of the morning, doing a weird and awful language test. Then she got up early to do English.
I don't understand humans.
I really don't.
Also, she has taken on a huge and awful job. She said something about Christmas and little kids and pageant.
Now what is that supposed to mean?
Yours Truly
Herman

An Original Song By a Friend
Oh fish, so slimy and sweet!
If only they could live another week!
Or even another day,
I wish you could stay!
And make Catherine's life so good,
So basically EAT YOUR FOOD!
Why did you die?
Fish, oh fie
For shame why must you do
Such a terrible thing! You were so new!
So please come back to life
And make her life less full of strife!
At least just say adieu!
And come back brave and new!
And so I write this song
In honor of your life (although not prolonged)
Maugarite and Percy
Catherine tried to be a nursy....
If only they could live another week!
Or even another day,
I wish you could stay!
And make Catherine's life so good,
So basically EAT YOUR FOOD!
Why did you die?
Fish, oh fie
For shame why must you do
Such a terrible thing! You were so new!
So please come back to life
And make her life less full of strife!
At least just say adieu!
And come back brave and new!
And so I write this song
In honor of your life (although not prolonged)
Maugarite and Percy
Catherine tried to be a nursy....
There's a grief that can't be spoken.
There's a pain goes on and on.
Empty tanks with empty buildings
Now my fish are dead and gone.
Here they joked of idle singing.
Here it was they became tame.
Here they talked about `tomorrow'
And tomorrow never came.
Sneaking round the corner
Sherman came in as a heater
And with heat beyond compare
He roasted them there!
The very things were meant to help them
Became their final horror
At that lonely little tank....at dawn.
Oh my fish, my fish forgive me
(The ghosts of those who died in the tank appear)
That I was gone when you went low .
There's a grief that can't be spoken.
There's a pain that now I know.
Phantom faces swimming circles.
Phantom shadows on the floor.
Empty tanks with empty buildings
Where my fish will swim no more.
(The ghosts fade away)
Oh my fish, my fish, don't ask me
What this sacrifice was for
Empty tanks with empty buildings
Where my fish will live no more.
There's a pain goes on and on.
Empty tanks with empty buildings
Now my fish are dead and gone.

Shutdown
This blog is temporarily shut down while there are no fish to write it.
Hopefully it will be up running again soon.
Hopefully it will be up running again soon.
And When the Rain Comes Down.....
.......it's 'cause the, fish is dead.
Yes my dear friends, this is Percy here.
But Alas,
Marguerite-
-Is no more.
It is a very lonely day for me.
Guppies are not supposed to have to live alone.
But I swim in the tank now
ALONE.
It is a very sad day.
I don't particularly feel like posting some picture in her honor.....
But I will say that before long, new Marguerites and Chauvelins will be swimming in this tank.
Farewell,
Percy.

Poor Fish is Dead, The Poor Fish is Dead
Our friends
This is Sir Percy, and his lady friend Marguerite.
We regret that we must be the bearers of bad news
But alas, our friend Chauvelin seems to have met Madam the Guillotine at last.
Following a stressful morning, where he seemed the only on not put out by the horrible filter
He never recovered from the stress like the rest of us.
Alas, during the evening he was condemned
And like so many others, died.
We regret to inform you of this tragedy
And post this picture in his honor:
It is quite regrettable that you never got to officially meet him, because, as English, we believe in fair play.

A Day for Dying
Hey everybody! It's Herman again.
This was supposed to be Marguerite's turn, but seeing as she is practically dead right now, I took over. Last night all the little guppies were extremely happy, and swimming cheerfully. However, today, they look like they are dying. Marguerite can't seem to get off her side, and Chauvelin just sits and won't move. Percy is going nuts and I think he might be insane. The dumb person who owns us doesn't have any clue as to what she should do, and it really hurts her to see Marguerite upside down, and not able to right herself. Alas, perhaps she should have waited 24 hours to put the fish in their new tank - but it is too late now. They are dying. Farewell everyone, I am still living strong, and hopefully will for the next few years.

Sir Percy Blakeney Baronet
Bon-jour mon-sieur!
Sink me! I've already been in my new tank for almost two days!
However, due to the lack of space, I'm afraid I will die
soon.
Alas, if I can survive but another hour, I shall be saved. A new
tank is coming, much larger than this small one I am occupying now. Sink me!
You'd think the person who owns us would have done a little more research
before crammin' us in like flies.
However, I do look quite nice now don't I?
Anyway, all this business of switch bowl, switch bowl is monstrous intolerable.
And there's still the matter of that chap in the other tank.
Herman
*in a grouchy voice*
Well, who should come first but me?
I rule my tank. I have my own palace....though I don't usually hang out there cause the plant is nicer.

Cool lookin'....right?
Anyway, I act like I'm dead most of the time, and I get really mad when anyone stares at me. I just float all day everyday - no need to swim when you can float!
I haven't eaten any of the food that gets put in my bowl - who would want to eat dried worms anyway?!
I have a rainbow plant, my cool castle, and my collectible blue rocks. Very cool.
Some people (I'm looking at you Sherman) think that I'm stuck-uppity, but I'm not. Nope. And Sherman doesn't even have a blog!! Of course, I share this one with some guppies, but he'd probably share his with those annoying birds! Birds eat fish anyway!
So that's me.
Tomorrow I think Percy's gonna post.....
